Spring session of Georgian parliament to be opened today

The spring session of the Georgian parliament will be opened today. Archil Talakvadze, Parliament Speaker will present the action plan.

President Salome Zurabishvili will present the annual report during the spring session. Lawmakers will also discuss the annual reports of Prime Minister, Public Defender, State Audit Service, National Bank of Georgia and General Prosecutor.

Within the framework of the spring session, MPs will have to make several staff decisions including the election of General Prosecutor and Chairperson of the Supreme Court.

The 2020 spring session of the parliament will be closed at the end of June. The fall session was closed on December 20 of 2019.
