Sports journalist Gogi Prangishvili passes away

Sports journalist Gogi Prangishvili, who dedicated years of his life to the sports editorial teams of Georgian Radio and Television, has passed away.

Gogi Prangishvili was a distinguished sports commentator for the Moambe program, as well as the creator and host of the television shows Asparezi and Overtime. He also served as the editor of the radio magazine Physical Education and Sports.

As one of the authors of the multi-part documentary From Athens to Athens, Gogi Prangishvili contributed to chronicling the rich history of Georgian sports.

Throughout his career, he authored numerous articles in the Georgian press, paying tribute to the history of sports and celebrating Georgia’s legendary champions.
