Special Penitentiary Service Head resigns

Giorgi Pataridze, Director General of Georgia’s Special Penitentiary Service, has resigned.

Pataridze submitted his resignation to Justice Minister Paata Salia, who has approved his departure from the post.

For context, the Prosecutor General’s Office earlier today issued a recommendation to the Ministry of Justice to suspend Pataridze’s powers as Director General of the Special Penitentiary Service.
