Speaker: Today's success turning point in Georgia's long history

The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili addressed the citizens gathered in downtown Tbilisi to celebrate the nation’s EU candidate status, saying “Today’s success is one of the turning points in the long history of Georgia.”
The Speaker extended his appreciation to the public for their input into this decision.
“Many thanks to everyone who contributed to our shared joy. Thank you to our forefathers.
Thank you to everyone who assisted our country, appreciated our efforts and commitment, believed in and supported us, and demonstrated their loyalty.
I thank you, the wise and hardworking Georgian people who understand the cost of victory,” Papuashvili remarked.
