Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili will submit a written request to the President of Georgia to convene extraordinary parliamentary sessions on December 16-17.
According to Papuashvili, the letter will include a list of issues to be addressed during the sessions.
During its meeting, the Parliamentary Bureau reviewed new legislative initiatives and decided to start their committee discussions.
The proposed legislation includes amendments to the Law on Civil Security, the Criminal Procedure Code of Georgia, the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Customs Code of Georgia, among others.
The Bureau also determined the lead committees for each draft law to ensure they are discussed in a simplified and expedited manner.
