Speaker to partake in European Conference of Presidents of Parliament in Dublin

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili will participate in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament in Dublin, slated for 28 and 29 September.

Speakers and presidents of Parliament from the 46 member states of the Council of Europe and many partner, observer and neighbouring countries, as well as the heads of several interparliamentary assemblies will attend the conference.

Papuashvili will address the conference as well as hold bilateral meetings with foreign colleagues to discuss the EC’s 12 recommendations and Georgia’s progress in this regard.

The Speaker deemed the support of EU member states ‘paramount’  adding “We will use this format to deepen the ties between the parliaments.”
