Speaker to open Georgia's European Way Conference

Georgian Parliament and National Platform, a union of non-profit local and international civil society organizations will hold the third joint Georgia’s European Way conference.

Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, EU Ambassador to Georgia Paweł Herczyński, and National Platform Chair Nino Chkhobadze will open the conference.

The conference participants will discuss the positive decision of the European Commission to recommend the European Council to grant candidate status to Georgia and the newly defined nine priorities.

The conference will focus on court system reform, electoral process, depolarization, deoligarchization, media and the fight against disinformation and Georgia’s compliance with the EU foreign and security policies.

Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party Irakli Kobakhidze, MPs, and representatives of non-governmental organizations will take part in the conference.
