Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and MPs attend traditional Khadoroba 2026 celebrations in Akhmeta
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, accompanied by members of parliament, paid a visit to Akhmeta Municipality.
During the visit, Shalva Papuashvili and the MPs met with residents in the villages of Matani and Duisi in the Pankisi Gorge. According to parliament’s press office, discussions focused on socio-economic initiatives, infrastructure projects, and agricultural development across the region.
While visiting the village of Khadori, the parliamentary delegation attended a festive liturgy at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Speaker and MPs subsequently joined locals for the annual Khadoroba festival, touring an exhibition featuring handmade works by local folk artisans.
