Speaker says Law on Broadcasting agreed with European Commission

The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, on Monday, said the draft Law on Broadcasting was produced in close collaboration with the European Commission, with every word approved.

Papuashvili hopes that the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili will sign the law.

“We had a thorough conversation about the matter since we observed an attempt to sabotage another recommendation.

The EU ambassador’s statement clarified everything. Every word, every sentence, and every point of this draft law was agreed upon with the European Commission. On other matters, we are still working with them,” said the Speaker.
