Speaker says EU foreign policy symbolises amateurism, strays from European people's interests
“It was evident from the very outset what the EU’s foreign policy would ultimately lead to, namely, the appointment of a prime minister as its chief foreign representative, whose foreign minister, in blatant violation of international law, delivers speeches at anti-government rallies organised by radicals in another country,” writes Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, on social media.
Papuashvili responded to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s call for the EU’s High Representative, Kaja Kallas, to be replaced.
“Today, EU foreign policy is a symbol of unprofessionalism and is increasingly diverging from the interests of the European peoples,” he concludes.
