Speaker praises Bulgarian Parliament for declaration in support of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic path
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Friday expressed his “heartfelt gratitude” to the Bulgarian Parliament and its Speaker, Rosen Zhelyazkov for the parliamentary declaration in support of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic path and granting of an EU candidate country status to Georgia
“We value this genuine partnership grounded in common values, interests, and the European future,” the Speaker tweeted.
The National Assembly of Bulgaria adopted a declaration in favor of granting Georgia EU candidate status.
According to the Parliament’s press office, “the declaration firmly supports Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, which is based on the historical choice of the Georgian people and will be an extra guarantee of the country’s security.”
