Speaker Papuashvili: Opposition is wallowing in mud; fortunately, none of this splashes onto Georgia because people make right choice
“The opposition today is wallowing in the mud; it is their own little stage where, caked in muck, they take turns wrestling each other and hurling it at one another,” declared the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.
Shalva Papuashvili was asked to comment on a statement by the leader of the Federalists party, Tamar Chergoleishvili, in which she remarked: “Saakashvili wants to churn up the mud in a way that hides his own party, but they are in such a state they couldn’t gather 20 people.”
In response to the question, Papuashvili noted that it was an accurate comparison and that what is happening within the opposition is indeed one giant mud bath.
“What is happening in the opposition is one giant mud bath in which they are wallowing, pulling each other down, and covering themselves in it. It is fortunate that this mud does not splash onto our country and bypasses us, because the Georgian people assess everything correctly and make the right choice. It is their own little stage where, caked in muck, they take turns wrestling each other and hurling it at one another. It is a fitting comparison in that regard; the opposition today is truly wallowing in the mud,” Papuashvili stated.
