Speaker Papuashvili: Imagine if Georgian embassy funded insults against France's European Affairs minister
“It’s not hard to imagine how the French Minister for European Affairs would feel if the Georgian Embassy in France funded and supported people who refer to the Minister with such language,” the Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, posted on social media.
“Yesterday’s statement by the French Minister for European Affairs reminded me of his claim that “we support the people.”
It’s not hard to imagine how the French Minister for European Affairs would feel if the Georgian embassy in France funded and supported people who refer to the French Foreign Minister with such language.
He would probably, at the very least, expect the Georgian embassy to condemn and distance itself from such radicalism.
Let’s see how the French Ambassador will act. After all, being European is expressed through actions, not just statements,” Shalva Papuashvili wrote.
