Speaker: Opposition follows coup scenario, Georgians will not tolerate such actions
The opposition is following a coup d’état scenario that undermines constitutional order and democratic elections, and the Georgian people will not tolerate such actions, stated the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
Papuashvili emphasized that events are unfolding as predicted, following a script crafted by the opposition.
“Everything is unfolding precisely as we anticipated, following a scenario crafted by the opposition. We have raised concerns about their discussions of a ‘technical government,’ reminiscent of the 1990s and other countries where power was seized by force. They have orchestrated this entire situation—declaring the elections illegitimate and planning to establish a technical government.
This coup scenario is a direct challenge to our constitutional framework and democratic elections. The Georgian people will not tolerate such actions to succeed,” he declared.
