Speaker names family purity as foundation of state, preserving identity, spiritual and material culture

“In a world full of challenges where national traditions and human values face threats, our church made Georgian family purity and its eternal values as a shield,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Speaker, family is a tradition, a custom, respect among the generations, hospitality, love to mankind, and faithfulness to the motherland.

“Congratulations on Family Purity Day! In a world full of challenges where national traditions and human values face threats, our church made Georgian family purity and its eternal values a shield. It is a lifestyle we have inherited from our ancestors, and we have cherished it for millenniums. Family purity is a custom, respect among the generations, hospitality, love to mankind, and faithfulness to the motherland.

Family Purity is the foundation of a state, preserving identity, and spiritual and material culture. Therefore, together with the church, the government is obliged to protect it. I congratulate everyone on this day and wish you peace in our hearts, families and motherland,” the Speaker wrote on Facebook.
