Speaker meets Swiss National Council President

The Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, met with the President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, Eric Nussbaumer.

During the meeting, the close and friendly relations between Georgia and Switzerland were highlighted. Papuashvili expressed gratitude for Switzerland’s robust support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its contributions to reconciliation efforts and restoring trust among the population affected by the occupation line.

The discussions also covered the strong parliamentary ties between the two nations.

Papuashvili positively evaluated the President of the Swiss National Council’s visit to Georgia in 2022 and noted that his return visit to Switzerland contributes positively to Georgian-Swiss relations.
