“It’s time to unite and take action, protect your choice, assess your past life and struggles, express your faith in tomorrow, and preserve what is precious and dear to you,” wrote the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on his Facebook page.

According to him, the Georgian nation is wise and deserving, patiently observing a thousand ‘well-wishers’ and waiting for its time, knowing that the truth is invincible.

“It is time to come together, to stand in unity, to protect your choice, evaluate your past life and struggles, express your faith in tomorrow, and preserve what is precious and dear to you. It is a moment to express love and solidarity towards those who share the same word – motherland. There have been several times in recent Georgian history when the nation has had to unite, and each time, Georgia proved its worthiness by preserving the bridge between the past and future, with the heart of the country continuing to beat steadily.

We can take pride in standing together today and one day tell our children that we were there when our country’s independence, sovereignty, and statehood needed us. Our people are wise and patient, facing a thousand ‘well-wishers’ and waiting for their time, knowing that truth is invincible.

Now is the time to stand together, recognize this ‘great moment,’ and declare that strength lies in unity. We will gather today on Rustaveli Avenue to protect the peace of our homeland and defend Georgia once again. Long live independent Georgia!” Papuashvili wrote.
