During a Georgian Dream election campaign event in Gori, Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili emphasized that unlike previous administrations, they have managed to turn the current geopolitical situation into an opportunity rather than a weapon for their enemies or friends. “That’s what a politically constituted state is like,” he added.
He highlighted the challenge of maintaining peace and rebuilding trust after war, contrasting this with the opposition’s approach, which he accused of inciting conflict and mistrust.
“It is a great tragedy that the seeds of trust cultivated over years have been uprooted by the people being in opposition now. Instead of fostering trust, they have done everything possible to incite conflict, enmity, and mistrust,” he stated.
