Speaker: Even US Secretary of State urges Brussels to avoid complaining tone toward other countries, Brussels has sunk deeply into false moralist role
The Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, has commented on social media regarding a statement made by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“When even the U.S. Secretary of State is compelled to publicly remind Brussels to refrain from adopting a tone of complaint toward other countries, it becomes evident that Brussels has sunk too deeply into the role of a false moralist. This is what we have to say,” wrote Papuashvili on social media.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated: “I don’t think that the European Union gets to determine what international law is, and what they certainly don’t get to determine is how the United States defends its national security.”
