Speaker departs for Bulgaria on official visit

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, will take part in the 66th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) in Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of his official visit, the Parliament reported.

Georgia is assuming the rotating chairmanship of PABSEC, and Papuashvili will lead the Parliamentary Assembly for the next six months.

Papuashvili is scheduled to deliver an address at the Assembly and hold several high-level meetings. The delegation accompanying him includes Irakli Mezurnishvili, First Deputy Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee and Head of Georgia’s Permanent Delegation to PABSEC, and Aluda Ghudushauri, First Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights Committee.

The Speaker’s official visit will conclude on November 24.
