Speaker commends SSSG employees and praises Anri Okhanashvili’s support

“Thanks to every employee of the State Security Service (SSSG) involved in safeguarding the country’s security, and special thanks to Anri Okhanashvili for his support and commitment to this service,” stated Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, during the hearing of the SSSG’s 2024 activity report.

Papuashvili emphasised that the efforts of the State Security Service personnel play a crucial role in preventing risks to the nation.

“In the challenging geopolitical environment Georgia has been navigating recently, it is thanks to our security system—including the State Security Service—that none of the significant threats have materialised.

A stable security environment has been maintained in Georgia, which is vital not only for the peaceful lives of our citizens but also for the country’s economic development. The record economic growth rates further demonstrate that a secure environment has been established to foster progress.

Therefore, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of the State Security Service involved in national security, and Mr. Okhanashvili, thank you for your valuable contribution,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
