Speaker bids farewell to Chinese Ambassador
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili held a farewell meeting with Zhou Qian, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia.
According to the Parliament, the meeting highlighted the successful development of Georgia–China relations.
“The parties emphasized the elevation of bilateral relations from a strategic partnership to a comprehensive strategic partnership, marking a new stage of cooperation between the two countries,” the statement said.
Papuashvili also highlighted the importance of his official visit to China and the productive meetings held during the trip.
The sides discussed the growing parliamentary cooperation between Georgia and China, as well as future directions for further developing bilateral relations. They also reviewed regional policy issues and underlined the importance of continued cooperation in terms of connectivity.
Papuashvili thanked the ambassador for his significant contribution to strengthening Georgia–China relations and wished him success in his future activities, the Parliament said.
