Sophio Kiladze: Distrust toward GPB’s Board of Trustees is unrealistic

Distrust process towards Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) is unrealistic and fantasy genre – Sophio Kiladze, Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee says.

Kiladze told First Channel that serious reforms were being carried out at GPB and some people were trying to object to the processes.

“The reform has to be completed so that we have Public Broadcaster, which will provide the public with objective information. The democratic process has to develop in the right way otherwise the public will become the victim of falsehood. The attack on GPB has campaigning character both on part of the parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition,’ Kiladze said.
