Skirmish in Georgian parliament

Skirmish took place between the majority and opposition MPs as soon as Giorgi Sharashidze, MP from the Gakharia for Georgia party, completed his speech.

Sharashidze said in an address to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze that even the Georgian Dream did not deserve the current PM, adding he was convinced that Georgian Dream members shared his viewpoint.

During Sharashidze’s speech, a physical confrontation begab in the session hall between Georgian Dream MP Irakli Khelaia and Gakharia for Georgia member Giga Parulava, which escalated into a fistfight between other MPs.

The situation has been defused for now.
