The Sirtskhvilia [Eng: Shame] movement-organized rally is taking place at the Paragraph Hotel in Tbilisi which is hosting the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
One of the rally organizers, Ana Kavtaradze, said the move seeks to “inform the ADB meeting participants of the draft law on ‘transparency of foreign influence’ and protest against it.”
“They need to know with whom they are sharing the table these days, to distance themselves from the Russian government and urge them [authorities] to recall Russian law.
This is not the only goal; any government action that brings us closer to Russia must be stopped. All our rallies are peaceful, that’s why peaceful participants are standing here”, said Ana Kavtaradze.
Law enforcement officers are mobilized on the spot.
