Singapore’s Changi Airport operator to join tender for Vaziani International Airport, Economy Minister Says

Singapore’s Changi Airport operator has expressed interest in Georgia’s aviation sector and confirmed that it will participate in the international tender to be announced by the Georgian government for the selection of the operator of the new Vaziani International Airport, Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said following meetings in Singapore.

Kvrivishvili, who is accompanying Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on his visit to Singapore, said the interest shown by the operator of Singapore’s Changi Airport is an important signal for Georgia’s aviation industry.

“This is a very important and positive signal for our country, the international aviation industry, and investors. It clearly demonstrates Georgia’s aviation and investment potential,” the minister said.
