Shame movement registers in National Agency per Transparency Law requirement

The Shame movement has decided to register in the National Agency of Public Registry per the requirement of the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.

According to the movement members, “the status of the agent is not specified in the law, so registration or non-registration itself does not even determine if the organisation would be granted the status of the agent. It still depends on government propaganda.”

The members said they had been dubbed ‘agents’ and ‘anti-traditionalists’ several times. “Labelling has already caused us harm.”

“We have decided to register, because our main task is the goals we have set, for example, to be prepared for the upcoming October parliamentary elections.

This implies maintaining the organization and resources, do not fall for the fine and do not pay it in favor of the government.

Over time, these penalties will lead the organization to bankruptcy. For example, the organization will no longer be able to continue its work, and this is precisely what the government wants,” the movement members said in the video.
