Search and rescue operations conclude at Station Square following building collapse in Tbilisi

The search and rescue efforts for victims of the partial collapse of a residential building near Tbilisi’s Railway Station have been completed, according to a statement from the Emergency Situations Management Service.

“Upon receiving the report, firefighters and rescue personnel from the Emergency Situations Management Service were promptly dispatched to the scene to carry out immediate response measures. They evacuated residents from the affected area. Heavy machinery was also deployed to assist in the search and rescue operations.

Two individuals lost their lives in the collapse. One person sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment,” the statement read.
