Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor Aleksandre Motserelia has quits post.

Motserelia told journalists that deputy governor Malkhaz Toria would be serving his duties from August 1.

Motserelia was nominated as Majoritarian (single mandate) MP candidate by the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Party in Samegrelo-Tsalenjikha-Chkhorotsku-Martvili-Abasha Majoritarian election constituency.

Toria was appointed as deputy governor on April 6, 2020. Previously, he worked in law enforcement agencies on different positions.
