Safina-Berulava skaters’ couple ends with 9th place at Olympics

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games turned out historic for Georgians. Nine athletes participated in the Olympics.

Georgian skaters beat the record on the eve of the final day. The skaters’ couple of Luka Berulava and Karina Safina won the 9th place in sports dances. This is the Georgian record at winter Olympic Games.

The duet presented free program on February 19 and scored 126.33 points. They collected 66.11 points in shot program. By summing the results, they ended with 192.44 points and secured the 9th place.

Before that Elene Gedevanishvili in 2006 and Moris Kvitelashvili in 2022 secured 10th places.
