Saakashvili: Lock me up as long as you like; I will leave prison just as Mandela did, straight into power, and you will trigger Rose Revolution 2.0

“If you lock me away entirely and keep me out of the public view, no matter: an AI avatar of me is already in preparation. It looks better than I do, but it is me. It talks like Misha in his prime, it moves like Misha, and my thoughts will be loaded into it entirely,” declared former president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili during today’s court session.

He added that he “will emerge from prison, just as others have done, including Nelson Mandela.”

“So, lock me away as much as you want; I will leave this prison. The longer you keep me here, the higher the likelihood of it. I will walk out of this prison just as Nelson Mandela walked out and came straight to power, just as the current President of Brazil left prison and became president once more, just as the current Prime Minister of Malaysia became prime minister straight from prison. You will cause this; you will bring about the role and function of a ‘Rose Revolution 2.0’ and a new government. But my goal is not my own return to power. My goal is to bring along with me a completely new generation, a generation of people who think differently.

We will come to power not for ourselves, but to restore Georgia’s independent course, to drive rapid development, and to bring hope back to every single Georgian. We will deliver justice. We will deliver justice, ensuring our new administration moves past the era of endless news broadcasts from courtroom doors and prison gates. Nor will it consist of news reporting on the demolition of yet another structure; there will only be constructive building. We will not even tear down the monstrosities that Ivanishvili and Kaladze have erected, even in this city. We will not keep walking in the same horrific circles,” Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
