Russia's current policy to be provocative, President Zourabichvili says

“Aggressive actions, threats, intensification of military forces in the Black Sea, all this shows how provocative Russia’s current policy is,” said Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili at the joint briefing held together with Polish President Andrzej Duda.

Georgian President stressed that the West responds to Russia’s hostile policy through negotiations. She noted that the readiness of both sides was necessary for the de-escalation of the situation.

“Aggressive actions, threats, be it cyber attacks or a direct increase in military forces on the Ukrainian border, the activation of military forces on the Black Sea, all this shows how provocative Russia’s current policy is, to which the whole European, Western world responds with negotiations. Efforts are being made to resolve the situation and de-escalate this tense situation. However, de-escalation, as well as peace talks, requires the readiness of both sides,” President said.

President of Poland Andrzej Duda arrived in Tbilisi with an unexpected visit last night. He stopped in Georgia for several hours before leaving for Beijing, China. Polish President met his Georgian counterpart at the Tbilisi International Airport.
