Russian occupying forces released Giorgi Terashvili, a Georgian citizen unlawfully detained near Mejvriskhevi village of the Gori municipality on May 11.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG), the Georgian citizen has been brought to the territory controlled by the central government. The SSG used the hotline and all the available tools to release Giorgi Terashvili.

“The central government together with international partners continue working actively to release all illegally imprisoned Georgian citizens,” the SSG said in its statement, adding Georgia holds the occupying force fully responsible for the destructive activities in occupied regions and across the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).
