Russian occupation forces try to illegally arrest two Georgian citizens

The Russian occupation forces attempted to illegally arrest two Georgian citizens near Chvrinisi village in the Kareli Municipality, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) reported on Friday.

The duo resisted the attackers, while the Russian troops hastily fled the scene when the police officers arrived. They are safe now, the agency noted.

The central government will strictly raise this issue at the next meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM), slated for 27 April in Ergneti, the SSG added.
