Russian occupation forces detain four Georgian citizens, SSG reports
Russian occupation forces unlawfully detained four Georgian citizens near Adzvi village of Gori municipality in the vicinity of the occupied Tskhinvali region.
According to the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG), a hotline operating through the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia is activated and co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) are informed about the fact.
“The Russian occupation forces are fully responsible for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions and along the occupation line. The harmful practice of illegal detentions worsens the security environment on the ground and threatens the stability of the region,” reads the SSG statement.
