Russian Consulate in Trabzon warns Russian citizens

The Russian General Consulate in Trabzon, Turkey, warns Russian citizens, who intend to enter Georgia from Turkey.

Based on the released statement, the facts of rejection at the Turkey-Georgia border checkpoint Sarphi have become frequent lately.

“The denial on part of the Georgian border guards are usually ungrounded lacking any explanation. Russian citizens, among them those living in Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk or other regions, have been rejected to enter Georgia,” reads the statement.

The Russian Consulate says that this year, in August, the General Consulate registers the denial on entering Georgia practically every day,” the statement notes.
