Rospotrebnadzor bans import of some sorts of Georgian wines, mineral water, cola produced in Georgia

Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, Rospotrebnadzor, has banned the import and sale of some sorts of Georgian wines, mineral water Nabeglavi and cola produced in Georgia.

According to the document, in accordance with the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a temporary sanitary measure was introduced to suspend the import and circulation within the country of products that do not meet established requirements for organoleptic, physicochemical, and safety indicators.

In particular, the following were banned:

  • wine produced by Teliani Veli JSC;
  • wine produced by JSC “Tbilvino”
  • wine and cognac produced by Askaneli Brothers LLC;
  • wine produced by Wineman LLC;
  • beer produced by JSC Georgian Beer Company;
  • non-alcoholic highly carbonated drink Coca-Cola from Georgia;
  • Mineral water “Nabeglavi” produced by “Healthy Water”.
