Romanian Ambassador: Middle Corridor's importance grew more after Russian agression against Ukraine
“Middle Corridor has become a very important transport corridor. Unfortunately, after the Russian aggression against Ukraine, its importance grew more,” said Romanian Ambassador to Georgia, Răzvan Rotundu.
The Romanian Ambassador attended the annual conference of the Black Sea Platform.
“Today, we attended the meeting of the Black Sea Platform. It is the third time we have attended this platform. I think it is a very important place, where representatives of the states, international organizations, like the Black Sea Platform, the public, the Georgian government, and the private sector can meet. Middle Corridor has become a very important transport corridor. Unfortunately, after the Russian aggression against Ukraine, its importance grew more.
Romania has been constantly supporting it as an alternative to the traditional transport routes. We think that the potential is there and is higher, especially when Georgia completes the development of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port, as well as the corridor between the Caucasus and Central Asia,” he said.
