Roin Metreveli elected as President of Georgian National Academy of Science

Academician Roin Metreveli on Monday was elected as the President of the Georgian National Academy of Science, replacing Giorgi Kvesitadze.

Historian, scientist, and public figure Roin Metreveli held the position of vice president of the National Academy of Science.

Metreveli was a member of the first convocation of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia. He served as the Rector of Tbilisi State University from 1991 until 2004.
