Risk of "black money’s" possible inflow from Russia ruled out, Economy Minister says

The risk of possible inflow of “black money” from Russia to Georgia is ruled out said Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili.

Levan Davitashvili explained following the governmental session that the Georgian banking system is one of the leaders in terms of transparency.

“If a person has a little knowledge in this issue, he/she can probably get very clear information that today the financial system of Georgia operates per the international standards.

In this respect, Georgia is a worthy member of the international community, where such transactions and risks are excluded. Georgia is part of all the agreements that prevent the circulation of illicit income,” said Davitashvili.
