Zelenskyy's Adviser says talks with Russia agreed on humanitarian corridors

The second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Belarus has ended on Thursday.

“Unfortunately, the results Ukraine needs are not yet achieved. There is a solution only for the organization of humanitarian corridors…,” Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhaylo Podolyak has tweeted.

He also said the two sides envisaged a possible temporary ceasefire to allow for the evacuation of civilians.

Before the meeting, Podolyak outlined key issues on the agenda:

  • Immediate ceasefire
  • Armistice
  • Humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and cities
