Rescue operation is underway on Mount Ushba

The rescue operation is underway on Mount Ushba in Sveneti region for the time being. The helicopter and rescue teams are trying to transfer the injured tourist stuck on the mountain.

The Emergency Management Service of Interior Ministry told the First Channel that the injured person is presumably a citizen of Ukraine.

According to reports, the tourists’ group was trying to climb on Mount Ushba when one of them was injured.
