Representatives of “I love Batumi” set up tent outside Adjara TV

Representatives of “I love Batumi” movement set up a tent outside Adjara TV and demand resignation of Giorgi Kokhreidze, Head of Adjara TV from Board of Trustees. One of the members of the movement Aleksandre Milorava has gone on a hunger strike in the tent.

Milorava also demands that all employees, who were dismissed for protesting over Giorgi Kokhreidze’s editorial policy, are restored on their job positions.

Soso Sturua, a member of Board of Trustees of Adjara TV and Radio claims that the accusations are absurd. He said that only 2 employees had been dismissed from work. “Interference into editorial policy is false. I have seen nothing like this,” Sturua said.
