Representatives of different religious confessions pay tribute to Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II's memory

Representatives of different religious confessions paid tribute to the memory of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, at the Sameeba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral, the Agency for Religious Issues posted on its Facebook page.

The civil funeral was attended by clergy from Latin Catholic Apostolic, Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Jewish Union, Baptist Church, Georgian Muslims Union, Georgian Evangelical Lutheran Church and Yazidi Spiritual Council of Georgia.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II passed away on March 17 at the age of 93.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 22, in the Sioni Cathedral.
