Rehabilitation of Bugeuli public school in Ambrolauri municipality is underway
Rehabilitation of the public school in the village of Bugeuli, Ambrolauri municipality, is currently underway, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia.
The Ministry reports that the school’s renovation is being carried out under the “Public Schools of Georgia’s Remote Mountain Regions” project, funded by the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).
“Giorgi Shonia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, inspected the ongoing works on site.
Bugeuli public school is designed to accommodate 200 pupils. The building rehabilitation project aims to create a modern, eco-friendly environment, improve energy efficiency, and introduce renewable, alternative energy sources.
Under the project, energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, and building operation and maintenance costs at Bugeuli school will be significantly reduced. Furthermore, the project includes structural reinforcement works for the school building,” the Ministry stated in its release.
