Recent developments boost optimism for Georgia-US strategic partnership, PM says

“The processes that have taken place recently keep us optimistic that the strategic partnership will indeed be restarted. The rest depends on the American side, and we are patiently awaiting their position,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at today’s briefing.

Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia is proposing the renewal of the strategic partnership with the US from a clean slate, accompanied by a concrete roadmap.

“You know what our offer is. We are offering the US the renewal of the strategic partnership from a clean slate, with a specific roadmap. This statement has been made publicly, and the recent developments keep us optimistic that the partnership will actually be restarted. The rest depends on the American side, and we are patiently waiting for their response,” Kobakhidze stated.
