Rati Ionatamishvili thanks GPB, Director General Tinatin Berdzenishvili for airing Paralympic Games
The President of the Georgian Paralympic Committee, Rati Ionatamishvili, expressed gratitude to the Public Broadcaster and its Director General, Mrs. Tinatin Berdzenishvili, for airing the Paralympic Games for the second time.
In an interview with Time Out, Ionatamishvili called Tinatin Berdzenishvili “a great friend of the Paralympic movement.”
“All this is an additional motivation for the Paralympians and is also very important for raising public awareness. In Paris, several countries and delegations were astonished to learn that Georgia was broadcasting Paralympic games for the second time.
I’d want to point out that we have 14 hero Para-athletes, but the actual number is considerably more. Of these 14 in Paris, nine in particular stood out, although we have a large family that participates in many sports,” he remarked.
