Rally organizers to continue protest

The Initiative Group of Anti-Foreign Agents Bill protest has stated that the protest would continue. According to organizers, the rally will take place today as well because young people do not trust the ruling Georgian Dream.

The organizers also demand the release of the detainees.

“The protest will not stop until Georgia takes a guaranteed pro-Western course,” Girchi-More Freedom member Tsotne Koberidze declared.

The parliamentary majority on Thursday decided to withdraw the draft law “On the Transparency of Foreign Influence,” following the consultations between the ruling Georgian Dream political council and People’s Power. “No to the Russian law” rally kicked off on Tuesday after the Georgian Parliament passed the so-called Foreign Agents bill in the first reading.
