Public Defender meets Eliso Kiladze, Mzia Amaglobeli, and Anastasia Zinovkina at women’s penitentiary facility

The Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, visited the 5th Women’s Penitentiary Special Facility, where he met with female defendants and convicts, including Eliso Kiladze, Mzia Amaglobeli, and Anastasia Zinovkina.

According to the Public Defender’s Office, Ioseliani received information from the inmates regarding their conditions of detention and the state of protection of their rights. He also met with the institution’s administration, inspected the prison infrastructure, and reviewed the participation of convicts in psycho-social, educational, and rehabilitation programs. Additionally, he visited the maternal and child care unit within the institution.

“The Public Defender also met with Eliso Kiladze, Mzia Amaglobeli, and Anastasia Zinovkina to learn about their living conditions, health status, and the current state of rights protection. The Public Defender of Georgia regularly monitors penitentiary institutions and supervises the rights of prisoners,” the Public Defender’s Office stated.
