The opposition supporters are setting up tents on the roadway outside the Parliament building in the Georgian capital Tbilisi on Friday.

They have already pitched ten tents in front of the parliament.

Protesters say any citizen can stay in a tent overnight. Tents have heaters, hot tea, and coffee.

The protesters marched from Tbilisi Concert Hall to the supreme legislative building and later to the Government Administration.

The rally participants demand the release of UNM Chair Nika Melia and early elections.

UNM unveiled plans at today’s rally and vowed to kick off picketing the state institution buildings from March 2.

The riot police detained the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party leader Nika Melia at the party’s headquarters on Tuesday morning.
